Let
me tell you about myself. I am the
terrifically fit 13 year old “Grande Dame” of Hy Country Kennels Pet
Resort. My Mum and Dad work
and I need a really great place to spend my daytime. I had visited Hy Country as a regular
boarder but when my Mum asked Russ about me coming for daycare, he said “sure I’ll give it a try”. Now that is all “History”. I have
been going for over 8 years and I LOVE IT! I get to see my buddies Max, Miller,
Taco, Huey, Chubb, Inca, Bones, Colt, Ryle, Pella, Zoe, Casey, Cricket, Dakota
(a Great Dane) and Nikita. We are
so fit because we hang-out and play, sleep, we get lots of room to dig, there’s
even a play house to climb up into and big huge tires to run around, we even get snacks!
My Mum said that if anything every happens to them, then I am going to stay at Hy
Country with Russ, Trisha and the girls.Now, that is an indication of how much confidence my parents have in Hy
Country and the loving care I receive every day.

Our basset hound Barkley is a full time attendee at Hy Country's Doggy Daycare. He knows where we're going as soon as we start up the hill and he usually paces back and forth in the car just waiting to run out and see his buddies. I know he's being well taken care of by the Hy Country staff, who are always friendly and very accommodating. Hy Country Kennels is definitely a home-away-from home for Barkley. Thanks so much for all the work you do!

I just wanted to thank you and your staff again for the
excellent care Taco receives while boarding and in day care.
It was marvelous to give a huge hug to a clean dog when I
picked him up. Knowing what a challenge he must have presented
getting him near soap and water, I really appreciate you going
the extra mile with him.

Dear Russ & Tricia
Just a note to say think you for the wonderful care our
Sheltie, Yoshi, and our cat, Pussywillow, have received each
time we have left them in your care. We moved to the Vernon
area last year from Ontario, and needed to find a good kennel
which we could trust. Our jobs include time on the road, so we
were in search of a facility that offered good care. We
thought we might have to try t3wo or three, but know we had
been fortunate on the first try when we found Hy Country
Kennels. Clean and spacious, reasonably priced and in a
wonderful setting it offered everything we were looking for
and more: your service of trimming Yoshi’s nails has improved
his walking considerably.
We adopted our pets as a pup and kitten when our two youngest
children were about 10. Yoshi is 11, Pussywillow is 15.
Needless to say, we are the ones who inherited the dog and cat
when the kids grew up! One of the things about Hy Country that
I have discovered and appreciate so much is that it really is
a family affair. Your daughter Morgan told me how she goes and
plays with Yoshi. I know he would love that!
When we pick him up, Yoshi is pleased to see us, but he
clearly fells at ease with all of you. He always looks great
and never a ‘Kennel smell”. Pussy willow enjoys the thoughtful
living arrangements, especially the perch provided by the
window where she can snooze.
We’re really grateful to you for your easy and friendly way,
consistent good service and helpful advice. Many thanks.

Thanks for taking such great care of our dogs. It made us feel
good that they were being looked after by you while we were
relocating back east. By the way they looked great when we
picked them up from the airport. We’re not so sure that
they’re even happy to see us. The best of luck to you in your
